As Lecturer in Aviation Management you will contribute to teaching and learning within the School of Engineering, Environment and Computing from our Wroclaw Campus.
The Role
As Lecturer in Aviation Management you will have responsibility for the development, preparation and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including module leadership where appropriate while contributing to the development, organisation and management of the curriculum to include international and intercultural experiences.
Demonstrating good practice in teaching, learning and assessment through use of a wide range of learning resources and appropriate pedagogic practice, you will ensure that teaching is informed by contemporary research and develops the ability of students to engage in debate, critical discourse, and rational thinking.
Contributing to the wider student experience through a wide range of approaches, this role will also undertake scholarly activity, as appropriate, and assist with the development of external partnerships.
Qualifications Required
PhD (or equivalent), or if a good Honours Degree and/or master’s degree if from Professional practice background with appropriate professional qualifications and/or membership that might be considered as equivalent to a PhD.
Our Successful Candidate
You will share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in his/her area of specialisation. You will be able to contribute to the delivery of topics relating to aviation strategy and planning, from both an airline and airport operator perspective, and/or airline and airport operations. The ability to contribute to the full range of modules from the BSc Aviation Management curriculum is advantageous.
The candidate should have extensive relevant industrial experience at a senior level or be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject. Experience of working in professional educational practice/consultancy projects is beneficial.
You will have experience teaching at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes Or evidence of high-quality presentation skills, and evidence of coaching, or mentoring and teaching other professionals if from a professional services background. A teaching qualification or be willing to undertake a teaching qualification if not already qualified.
