Job summary

Key Responsibilities

As a manager of the team:

• Full responsibility for the day to day running of the team which consists of 10 to 15 staff.
• Organize the team, workflow, and processing to optimize productivity and efficiency with the allocated resource, minimize risk and issues and improve the quality of processing keeping operational errors to a minimum.
• Ensure that all necessary controls and reporting are undertaken on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
• When required liaise with the Business Lines, Middle Offices and Business Support Groups within branches to make sure that new deals are set up correctly and existing deals are processed correctly.
• Act as a Validator on complex deals or as a back-up of Validators of his/her team (see relevant job description for details).
• Responsibility to escalate any issues/problems or control gaps to Head / Deputy Head of the Platform in a timely fashion
• Responsible for staff related issues such as: performance reviews, coaching, training.
• Actively assist in the training and development of those staff directly accountable for providing coaching, training, guidance and supervision.
• Monitoring performance of the team (producing KPI, dashboards…), looking to identify areas of improvement ensuring quality of processing for stakeholders at all times
• Coordinate with the Head of the Platform on staff related issues such as: training, holidays, assessment process, recruitment.
• Maintain an up to date set of procedures for the products and processes related to their portfolio of Loans.
• Ensure consistency and homogeneity of processes and practices across teams by liaising with other team leaders.
• Ensures that Service Level Agreements signed with the branches are respected, be a guarantor of the engagement of GELOP towards the branches.
• Calculating service fees and invoicing branches serviced.
• Work on their portfolio with ad hoc Project Teams to organize on boarding of new countries, and implement new versions of existing systems (e.g. COMBO, LMT) or new systems.
• Provide assistance and support to the management of the Global EBONI Loan Operations Platform at all times.

Note: This person would be supporting US region & is required to work in night shifts.

Experience

Experience Required:

• 14 plus year of experience in Loans Operation/ Syndication/ Servicing.
• Solid in depth experience of Loans Administration to include Agency, participations, Bi-lateral: ≥6 years
• Experience in international corporate loans
• Experience in general banking (e.g. payments, SWIFT, Nostros, accounting, knowledge of standard market rules, interest calculation rules…)
• Work experience in another major global bank in this field
• Experience of working with projects, involvement in optimization/improvement of processes
• Worked previously in a centralized processing unit involved with Loans Administration
• Experience in leading projects
• Experience in letters of credit and/or issued guarantees administration


Required skills

Key competencies required of Job Holder:

· Advanced knowledge of general banking operations (to include Accounting, Funding Nostro movements and Cash management)

· Solid experience of Loans Administration and the ability to read and understand Loan documentation

· Ability to identify changes to processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency

· Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to loans operations

· Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and with all parties concerned, notably Business Support Groups located abroad in multiple branches of CACIB

· Fluent English, and other foreign languages appreciated

· Be able to operate in project mode i.e. contribute to projects run by IT

· Be able to lead projects and conduct reviews of processes in order to further optimize Productivity, Quality and Security
