Job Description
The School of Public
Health and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (www.umass.edu/sphh
s) is seeking talented applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track speech-language pathology lecturer position
(9-month appointment) in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Opportunities exist for summer teaching, which would be
compensated for in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The initial appointment period is two years with the
possibility of renewal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-person and/or online teaching at the
undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Providing service to the department, university, community, and profession is also expected,
including participation on committees, projects, and other activities that support the university, college, and departmental mission.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing
Sciences or a related field from an accredited university or college, with a doctoral degree preferred. A Certificate of Clinical
Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Demonstrated record of teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level is
preferred.
