Job Description

Shopify is looking for a talented, full-time senior producer for its Growth Marketing team’s video operations. The focal point of this role will be supporting the ‘Learn with Shopify YouTube Channel’ in its production and distribution of video content. This role is essential to the continued growth of our multimedia efforts, which help make compelling arguments to begin selling on Shopify.

In this role, you’ll be doing the following;

  • Supervision of the end-to-end video production process, including concept development, scriptwriting, pre-production logistics, filming, editing and post-production.
  • Manage and maintain a sustainable production calendar for all video content that’s accessible cross-channel and department.
  • Quality control of content [IE: editing and fact checking of scripts and/or video] to ensure deliverables are produced to a high standard and align with Shopify’s branding guidelines and channel goals.
  • Collaborate with the broader Growth Marketing content team to develop and execute an effective video content strategy.
  • Consistently research the latest trends, keywords, and topics in ecommerce to guide content creation decisions.
  • Identify potential collaboration opportunities with relevant influencers, industry experts, and thought leaders.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and algorithm changes on YouTube, TikTok and other social video platforms.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proven experience in video production.
  • Fluency in video editing software and workflows.
  • Deep understanding of what makes strong content on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other social channels and tailoring content strategy and production accordingly.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and also collaborate effectively with a team. Must also be a team player, eager to contribute.
