Job Description

Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Azure Engineer on our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining our ever-growing Azure environment. Your areas of responsibility will be broad and include implementing best practice configurations, deployment automation, and enterprise solutions focused on operational excellence, reliability, scalability, efficiency, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly reliable cloud architectures
  • Solve complex technical issues involving multiple technology stacks
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and support across existing and emerging technologies
  • Provide reference implementations for technology adoption and best practices
  • Leverage automation to drive efficiency and effectiveness while reducing complexity and toil
  • Influence and advocate DevOps and SRE principles and methods
  • Facilitate blameless postmortem and root cause analysis
  • Assist with initiative planning and scoping as part of an agile SDLC
  • Ensure operational requirements and service levels are met
  • Identify, qualify, and communicate technical risks and issues
  • Implement information and data security solutions
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the business

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in progressively responsible engineering-related roles.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrable production-level experience in Azure, with a strong preference for advanced Azure certifications in Networking and Architecture.
  • Proven experience in developing, operating, and maintaining critical production workloads, with a focus on Azure environments.
  • Expertise in Azure-specific network concepts: routing, peering, load balancers, and application gateways.
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services, with an understanding of their respective networking, compute, and security services.
  • Solid experience in architecting and implementing cloud infrastructure and applications, primarily in Azure, and familiarity with Google Cloud and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with various compute workloads including server, container, and serverless technologies in Azure, and a functional understanding of similar workloads in Google Cloud and AWS.
  • Proficiency in Azure Active Directory and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations, with an understanding of identity services in Google Cloud and AWS.
  • Experience working in multi-cloud environments, especially Azure, while coordinating across multiple functions and teams.
  • Familiarity with Azure App Service Environment and App Registration Services.
  • Background in VMware and Microsoft Server environments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work autonomously, and adapt to new cloud technologies and environments.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable growth mindset with a focus on continuous learning in a multi-cloud ecosystem.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $135,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
