The City of Abbotsford currently has two available temporary full-time opportunities for up to 12 months in our Park Operations division for an energetic and self-motivated Park Attendant. The length of term is dependent on return of the incumbent to this position and may be shortened or lengthened.
This exciting opportunity includes maintenance and custodial work involving the care and upkeep of parks, recreational and playground areas, and cemeteries. The incumbent must have the ability to perform a variety of grounds maintenance and building cleaning and maintenance tasks, unskilled repair work, and unskilled and semi-skilled gardening duties under minimal supervision.

In order to be considered for this position, you must have:
- Completion of Grade 12
- A minimum of one year experience in parks maintenance, horticulture or arboriculture or related work
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
Qualified candidates will be asked to attain a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $26.11 to $30.73 per hour plus an additional 12.4% in lieu of benefits. This position may include shift work, including evenings and weekends.
