This position may pay more than the minimum proposed salary listed above, depending on experience and/or qualifications of the selected candidate.
The End User Support Specialist IV, under general direction, provides technical leadership and oversight for deployment and delivery of enterprise-wide end user support projects or services. Participates in mentoring, training, and development of other employees for the Center for Information Technology Excellence (or CITE).
Responsibilities:
- Manages Systems Management solutions including Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, Active Directory, GPO management, and software packaging.
- Coordinates the technical activities of a small project team. Troubleshoots a variety of complex end user computing and connectivity issues. Evaluates and
follows through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated. Researches unique end user needs. Provides specialized guidance,
recommendations, alternative options, and solutions in the use or selection of a variety of hardware and software products in order to achieve end user’s goals and in accordance with policy requirements. - Implements the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability with regards to end user needs. Equips and supports employees to successfully adopt change in order to drive organizational success and outcomes.
- Assists project leader with developing work plans and time schedules for projects including outlining phases, identifying personnel, and computing equipment requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of related experience in IT.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of IT architecture, application of systems theory, advanced negotiation, enterprise-level operations, multi-team leadership and coordination, advanced project management, sourcing, advanced vendor relations, advanced business acumen, change management, and knowledge of the IT industry.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
