- Assist in controlled breeding trials to develop improved cattle breeds.
- Execute birthing procedures, including the ability to conduct internal physical assessments to reduce stillbirths or injuries to cows or calves.
- Plan and manage pastures and crops for animal production and develop livestock feeding plans.
- Analyze products to establish and maintain quality standards.
- Supervise animal health programs, handle sick or injured animals, and maintain an optimal environment for cattle welfare in line with Australian Animal Care Standards.

- Read and record instrument information such as milk temperature and cow numbers.
