Job Description


The role of this position will be to manage and implement the North Dakota State University website redesign. Once the website has been built and is live, the position will be responsible for managing a team to maintain the overall site.  

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media arts, information technology or related field
  • Five years related experience, or equivalency
  • Experience maintaining the creation and implementation of website content and function
  • Experience applying best practices and principles to website development
  • Experience working with content management systems
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Ability to collaborate in analyzing online and media needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Knowledge of user experience principles
  • Knowledge of usability principles
  • Effective written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a website redesign
  • At least three years of professional communications experience, with an emphasis on website management in an organizational or university environment
  • Experience working in an academic environment
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with Drupal
  • Experience with graphic design, including the use of Photoshop
  • Experience designing and developing user interfaces
