Job Description
As a Project Manager – Supply Chain you will be responsible for managing projects of moderate to large scale within a given business unit. You will work with business stakeholders & project sponsors to formulate a clear project plan, and drive action to execute the project. You may also act as subject matter expert and/or consultant for a key functional area of the project.
Travel is required to Customer sites and QAD arranged events. Depending on the project, on site travel may be on a regular basis and mandatory; travel could be up to 30% of the time within the Americas Region (Canada, U.S. & Mexico).
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for project delivery, resources, timelines, schedules, financials and client satisfaction
- Analyze customer’s business requirements and application objectives and develop solutions
- Proactively manage scope and scope changes
- Manage delivery issues and risks and create mitigation strategies
- Manage all project administration activities (time recording, invoicing, status reporting, project reviews, resource management) on a timely basis
- Escalate rapidly all obstacles that cannot be dealt with promptly that could result in delays, budget overrun or quality issues
- Take a lead role in minor sales cycles and participate in major sales cycles
- Actively position software and services with clients
- Participate in internal initiatives to improve the Services organization
- Create proposals, statements of work or work orders for smaller opportunities
- Keep the forecasting tool accurate on projects and customer engagements
- Ensure project documentation is stored in internal QAD project repositories
- Provide input on performance of project participants
- Complete relevant training courses as required
- Other duties as reasonably required of this role or requested by management
Qualifications
- Implementation: Minimum 3 years QAD implementation experience or 5 years of other Supply Chain consulting implementation experience
- Industry: Minimum 2 years of consulting experience or 10 years of other work experience
- Project Management: Minimum one year of QAD project management experience or one year of non-QAD project management experience.
- Graduate degree, or Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Written documentation is clear, concise, written to a level appropriate to the audience, and at a level of detail that leaves little room for questions or misunderstanding. Deliver presentations to larger audiences, and senior leadership. Presentations are clear, to the point and highlight important issues. Documents and presentations are polished and professional in appearance.
- Google; MS Office; proficient at project mgmt software product preferred: Smartsheet is a plus
- CAPM or PMP certification
- Experience working with implementations in cloud environments is required
What we are looking for:
- PM experience with ability to do status reporting in dashboard for Top level executives.
- Hands on understanding of the Program metrics governance and reporting
- Should be able to handle steering committees discussions and governance technical and business aspects of the project
- Should have the skills to run meetings, capture MOM’s, communicate, and do the necessary follow up with different stakeholders
- Should be a result oriented person with a drive to achieve measurable PMO goals
- Experience working as a PM in a PMO supporting matrix project teams
