An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced gardener to join a busy Maintenance & Engineering Team within Estates and Capital Developments.
Reporting to the Gardening Supervisor the successful candidate will carry out grounds maintenance of the Aston University Birmingham City Centre campus including, grass cutting, weeding, maintenance of planting and shrub beds, tree pruning and other soft landscaping works. The successful candidate would also carry out some small gardening projects and minor repairs/ servicing and inspection of the gardening machinery.
The ideal candidate must be PC literate with experience of Microsoft Offices packages. Educated to, or working towards, C&G/NPTC Level 2 Certificate in Amenity Horticulture or equivalent, applicants must have good written and spoken English skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and high level of organisation are a prerequisite. A strong customer service focus is essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal contacts at various levels.
