Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. Guidelines and requirements for in-office presence are determined by operational need and vary according to the unique needs of each business area.
 
The opportunity
We are seeking a Financial Planning and Performance Analyst to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.

The Financial Planning, and Performance Analyst is responsible for preparing business unit budgets, forecasts, performance reports, and provides expert budget and accounting advice and direction for management decision making.  This position also supports the achievement of the strategic vision for corporate planning and performance management within the corporation, measurements, and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate the corporation’s achievement of its mandate and to ensure reliable program accountability.

What do you need to succeed?
Must have

  • Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar financial planning and analysis role that include the following:
    • Financial planning and budget development preparation.
    • Budget and forecast variance analysis.
    • Preparing financial reports for senior leadership.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced experience with Excel.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Oracle Fusion preferred.
  • Commerce degree with major in accounting is preferred.
  • Chartered Professional Accounting designation or nearing completion (Practical Experience Requirements stage) is preferred.
