Job Description


As the director of social media for the executive media team, you will be responsible for the creative direction, content generation, and
meticulous organization of social media production and creation. You will manage the day-to-day administration of the department and stay on
the cutting edge of content while planning content, tracking, reporting, and executing social media, photo, and video projects. In this
position, you are responsible for cross-channel social media content and will present channel strategies and new concepts that work to
execute said content with creativity, timeliness, and stellar attention to detail. You will serve as a subject matter expert in the social
media space, keeping the team and leadership informed of developments, content trends, and growth opportunities.

The director
oversees managing channels to ensure comments and messages are tagged to be engaged with appropriately and funneled offline as needed. They
will prepare regular cross-channel reporting to ensure measurable performance updates and recalibrate social strategy as needed on a rolling
basis. Additionally, they assist in producing, creating, and tracking executive media content, including social, film, photo, and audio
projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years’ experience in social and
    digital media production and strategy
  • Must be highly organized and pay tireless attention to detail with strong written and verbal
    communication skills
  • Must be well-versed in social media and digital media formats, including social media content design and
    platforms, film and photo production, podcasts, and new media communication
  • Familiarity with terminology best practices, and
    tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and After
    Effects

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Travel
required:
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most
offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours to accommodate
business needs, including weekends and evenings.
