Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or communication or an
    equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a creative team to create
    impactful and effective marketing collateral.
  • Strong computer skills specifically using a content management system.
  • Strong
    writing skills for a variety of mediums and purposes including marketing, social media, websites, and newsletters.
  • Demonstrated
    ability to set goals, manage and assess projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and
    demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • May include some evenings and occasional weekends as needed for special
    events.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or some post baccalaureate work.
  • Previous
    experience working in higher education and marketing.
  • Experience recruiting or marketing to adult students, graduate students and
    for non-credit programs.
  • Experience with website design.

Position Details
Position Purpose The Unit Marketing and
Enrollment Coordinator follows University policies and procedures and works in close collaboration with University Communications and
Marketing and is responsible for managing and coordinating marketing and communication initiatives in support of enrollment for Oakland
University’s online, flexible, graduate, and non-credit programs. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating all unit marketing and
communications projects, writing, editing content for the recruitment and enrollment of adult students, graduate students, and non-credit
learners.

  • Write and coordinate communications to students and faculty.
  • Develop and manage a departmental marketing and
    communication calendar.
  • Plan and coordinate learner recruitment events.
  • Monitor enrollment, recommend and implement
    strategies to increase enrollment.
  • Manage inventory of print and promotional materials.
