Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Correspondence, Reports and records, Manuscripts, and publications or theses
Computer and technology knowledge: Google Docs, MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure
  • The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be capable of efficiently handling repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should have attention to detail in their work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to multitask effectively and be accurate in their work
  • The candidates should demonstrate a strong client focus in their interactions, have excellent oral and written communication abilities, and exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences and determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • The candidates should schedule and confirm appointments, answer the telephone, relay calls and messages, and answer electronic inquiries
  • The candidates should compile data, statistics, and other information, order office supplies, and maintain inventory
  • The candidates should greet people, direct them to contacts or service areas, open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail, and co-ordinate the flow of information
  • The candidates should set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems and type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents
