Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an accredited nursing education program
Experience: Candidates should have two years Medical/Surgical/Labor and Delivery experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be on their feet for an extended period (both walking and standing) and must be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning patients
- The candidates should have ability to bend, push, pull, and lift equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- The candidates should have Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- The candidates should have previous Emergency Department experience OR ICU/CCU experience
- The candidates should have excellent communication skills and demonstrated critical thinking
- The candidates should have CTAS Triage experience, Charge nurse experience and Experience with Connect Care EHR
- The candidates should have one or more of the following certifications: ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and EPIC
- The candidates should have experience and ability to work with cardiac monitors
- The candidates should have Dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation of ECG’s
