Information Services Assistants (Part-Time)

Seeking two Part-Time Information Services Assistants in the Mack Library at the Bethlehem Campus, Bethlehem, PA.
* Primary responsibilities are Circulation Desk and Testing Center (proctoring) functions.
Responsibilities:
- Circulation desk functions
- Testing Center proctoring
- Shelve materials
- Provide information on library services
- Basic assistance with library technology
- Provide basic reference assistance
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year related experience preferred; Test proctoring preferred.
- Due to test proctoring, current NCC students are ineligible to apply.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Library Technical Assistant (LTA) specialized diploma preferred, or college courses in Library Science
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Adaptability
- Team player
- Ability to organize work
- Detail oriented
- Basic PC proficiency, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Hours:
Spring and Fall Semesters:
- Each position: Two evenings per week, and in a rotation on Saturdays and Sundays.
Summer (NCC operates on two different work weeks):
- Open 4 days late May – early July; slightly reduced evening schedule, and no weekends.
- Open 5 days early July – late August; slightly reduced evening schedule, and no weekends.
