Job Description


This position is responsible for coordinating varied marketing and digital content tasks  for MSC Cruises in the Australia and New Zealand market which contributes to meeting or exceeding annual commercial targets with a focus on direct sales.

The marketing coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Brand & Digital Marketing Specialist, pricing team, reservations team, sales team, commercial team, corporate e-commerce marketing department, corporate web team, service desk and e-commerce teams globally.

* B2C & B2B Website content updates – Responsible for updates to Consumer Websites (AU & NZ) & MSC Book (Trade platform) on daily basis as per corporate instruction – this involves working in the back end system of Sitecore to update pages on the website as required and test to ensure functionally working.  It is an admin task that is highly functional, and deadline driven.  Also updating website on promotions, new branding campaigns, images and graphics as instructed.

* IT Issues – Raising IT tickets for any issues discovered on websites or digital platforms and following through resolutions

* Collateral: Manage flyer, brochure and merchandise distribution via office or warehouse to sales team and travel agents as required.

* Keeping track of inventory of merchandise, travel tool kits and re-ordering as required

* Keeping track of all expos and events and ensuring sales team have all elements required

* Update MSC Masters platform and manage students enrolments

* Update all MSC Book agent registrations through administration portal

* Co-ordinate any gift card issuing for incentive programs

* Look after the content updates on CLIA websites and potentially other trade sites

* Activate / test all E-Commerce related activities as per corporate direction / team direction

* Support with providing pricing for brochures as requested and assisting with proof reading

* Assisting with invitation management, collating RSVP’s

* Assisting with database management and admin to ensure database is fully up to date at any time

* 1-2 years’ experience in an marketing co-ordinator role e-commerce & digital content experience favourable

* Degree in marketing or relevant field or equivalent experience.

* Interest and motivate to work in digital space

* Organised and deadline driven mindset

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

* A high level of attention to detail and highly analytical.

* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

* Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite advantageous

* Highly motivated team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn

* Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline driven environment, balancing multiple priorities

* Excellent organisation and time management skills.

* Proven ability to show resilience

* Fluent English, oral and written skills. Any additional language is considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French)

* Cruise or travel industry experience preferable

* Right to work in Australia.
