An exciting opportunity based in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences for a professional networking enthusiast, with a passion and a talent for establishing and maintaining long-lasting lines of communication with experts in the public and private sectors, and with members of the general public.
You will contribute to research and external engagement activities relevant to urban traffic modelling and prediction. Some of your responsibility will involve assisting the Principal Investigator (i.e., the academic in charge of the traffic modelling and prediction project) with tasks including but not limited to: co-facilitation of workshops with public sector, industry, governance, and society representatives to elicit their requirements regarding intelligent urban traffic; establishment and maintenance of efficient professional communication lines with stakeholders throughout workshop preparation, delivery, and follow-up; collation, analysis, and documentation of data provided by workshop participants (in collaboration with the Principal Investigator); design and co-creation of promotional material showcasing workshop outputs; and management of workshop logistics.
For this position an undergraduate degree in a STEM or business subject is required unless evidence of the skill and experience outlined in the Job Details can be presented in an alternative manner.
