Pottery Instructor
(Casual)

The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an opening for a Pottery Instructor. This position will be responsible for:
- Guiding, engaging and teaching students of all ages different techniques and styles;
- organizing and preparing different projects or workshops depending on the style of class being taught;
- cleaning of the studio and equipment before and after teaching;
- explaining the registration process and community centres activities;
- responding to questions and raises concerns to the supervisor who refers parents/families to community resources; and,
- other related duties as required.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or training in pottery and experience teaching or working with various pottery techniques. Previous teaching experience will be considered and asset.
The successful candidate is required to supply an acceptable police information check with vulnerable sector at their own expense.

Non-Union – Casual
Hours of Work:
Hours of work may vary, potentially required to teach evenings and weekends.
Rate of Pay:
$24.00 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits, (can vary based on experience and qualifications)
