Job Description
The Academic Adviser will be integrated into the Student Services Department and through telephone calls, emails or any other type of communication will follow up on the progress of the students assigned to the roaster.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in an education provider / training provider environment such as a School, College, University, Training Facility. Prior experience in providing support to students is highly recommended.
The Academic Adviser will be able to work individually and in team, be able to manage time effectively and work closely to meet the goals for the department and the company.
Position Requirements:
- Home Office (No background noise)
- Head set
- Personal Computer – Windows 10
- Fast and reliable Internet Connection (15-20 MBPS)
- Education Environment Experience
- Bachelor’s degree recommended but not required
- Good communication skills
- English is required
- Bilingual in French and English (Writing and Speaking) is a plus
Skills Needed:
· Microsoft office
· Strong Organizational Skills
· Be able to call students based on appointments and/or initiate follow up calls
· Follow up with student’s progress; plan students terms ahead of time.
· Make outbound calls to reach out to students
· Monitor Students Progress through the Astria Learning Management System
· Facilitate collections efforts
· Letter and communication creation
· Assisting other Administrative Activities as needed
