Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Wholesale establishment/store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Sales, buying, product selection, negotiation, distribution, and pricing
Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet, internet, MS Excel, MS Word
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks and capable of handling heavy loads while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable sitting, as well as with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be comfortable standing for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work, client-focused, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral and written communication abilities
- The candidates should be flexible in their approach, demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, and be organized individuals
- The candidates should be team players and analytical thinkers
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to arrange products according to planogram, establish and maintain contact with suppliers, maintain adequate stock levels, and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers
- The candidates should be able to oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets, provide customer service, and review requirements of establishment to determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
- The candidates should be able to select and purchase merchandise for resale, study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials, and visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events
