Position description :
In a context of strong growth, Angola and Mozambique represent strategic markets for SPIE GSE. Following a promotion, we are looking for a manager to cover the development of this area, which is at the heart of the project our company is putting in place to sustain our activities on the African continent.

A true leader of men, basing his legitimacy on a range of assertive skills from team management to business development, including the financial management of an autonomous subsidiary, the country manager will be responsible for:

Coordinating commercial and contractual relations with clients.

Drawing up and monitoring the implementation of the company’s operational strategy.

Coordinating the development of the company’s business.

Examining tenders and consultation documents and decides what action to take.

Checking bids/contracts and decides on actions to be taken within the scope of the powers allocated to him.

Ensuring the necessary interface and compliance with the administrative, financial, legal and social authorities of the country and the region.

Being responsible for the company’s finances: rigorous bookkeeping, monitoring of budget implementation, optimisation of results, achievement of targets, quality and accuracy of financial reports requested by Head Office, and compliance with the corresponding deadlines.

Validating the budget proposed by the department heads, based on market needs and client feedback.

Validating investment requirements in accordance with the powers granted to him/her.

Defining human resources requirements together with his/her team managers.

Identifying profiles that meet the subsidiary’s needs and validating the candidates selected when they are direct reports.

Defining and implementing the actions to be taken to develop the necessary skills, particularly for new arrivals.

Taking part in the various annual HR exercises: training plan, people reviews, annual interview and ensuring that they run smoothly.

To be sucessful in this role, you will need :
A University Degree
The Knowledge of the oil & gas sector
Fluency in English and French. Portuguese being a real plus.
The Knowledge of Africa
The ability to take decisions and share them
Good interpersonal skills
