Heavy Duty driver

Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity with so many advantage in oil and gas career sector in one of the most important Project handled by SPIE in Qatar with  QatarEnergy in which a new 05 years Contract multi discipline tasks in Maintenance and Operation of large Industrial Area been awarded

We are looking for a Heavy Duty Driver to drive and operate Boom truck (Selfloader 05 Tons and Manlift)

Ensure transport our personnel in a comfortable, safe and timely manner.

The candidate starts with general skills like :

Trained and certified driving and operating:

Self Loader – Boom Truck 05 Tons

Manlift

A Driver is a professional who drives personnel around in an efficient, safe and timely manner.

In addition to maintaining regular cleaning services for his vehicle, to record the daily activities; driver also plan routes based on road conditions.

Ultimately, you will help us increase of solution on our operational and logistic, making sure more flexibility for our transportation needs.

Driving Chiller Vehicle for food distribution,

To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driving license (Qatari – manual Heavy vehicle) and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Your main duties will be to:-

Securing loads and unloading supplies and equipment

Must be physically able to properly secure loads for transport using chains, binders, and straps with the ability to climb ladders to inspect loads

Ensuring compliance requirements

Performs driver’s maintenance, operational and safety check on vehicles

Experience at couple and uncouple trailers,

Responsibilities
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Pick up personnel from the place and at the time they’ve requested
Collect payments and issue receipts
Assist personnel with loading and unloading their luggage
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Answer personnel’ questions about the area and local places of interest
Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
Maintain log sheet / log book and daily records (mileage, locations visited, time starts a, times ends, etc..)

Requirements and skills
Proven experience as a Driver

A valid driver’s license Heavy vehicle

Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
A clean driving record
Minimum visual acuity of 6/6 (or corrected to 6/6)
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)

Punctual & time respecting

Staff selected for this position shall have good spoken in English.

Physical strength and ability to lift and to operate basket.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Good verbal communication. Proficiency using GPS devices.

Trade Certificate / ITI

With 6 years’ experience in driving Heavy duty vehicle (Manlift and Boom trcuk 05 Tons)

Possessing Qatar Driving license and Experience in GCC and particularly Qatar
