Location: Burnaby, BC
Shifts: Day
Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualification such as other trades certificate or diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate.
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail.
- The candidate should be required to work under pressure and should have ability to distinguish between colours.
- The candidate should be physically demanding and required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
- The candidate should be willing to work in sitting, standing, walking position for extended periods of time.
- The candidate should have manual dexterity and sound discrimination.
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, dependable, Judgemental and focused on client.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication and excellent written communication skills.
- The candidate should be efficient and a good team player.
- The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and should have values and ethics.
