Supervision: 3-4 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, tight deadlines and stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure and physically demanding
- The candidate should be able to work in combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be someone who can be client focus and be a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication and flexibility
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to keep records of the quantities of food used
- The candidate should be able to package take-out food also portion and wrap foods
- The candidate should be able to prepare, heat and finish simple food items
- The candidate should be able to serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- The candidate should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars also take customers’ orders
- The candidate should be able to use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules also supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- The candidate should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures and also hire food service staff
- The candidate should be able to estimate and order ingredients and supplies, ensure food service and quality control, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, prepare food order summaries for chef, supervise and check assembly of trays and also supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
- The candidate should be able to prepare budget and cost estimates and also prepare and submit reports
- The candidate should be able to address customers’ complaints or concern
- The candidate must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres
