Black Sisters in STEM is on a mission to build the largest talent pipeline of Black college women in STEM while preparing them with culture competency, technical skillset, and inclusive leadership skills to meet the demands of the emergent workforce.

Margarita Luna (1996) received the Fortaleza Award from Alianza Coachella Valley von behalf of the California Endowment. Margarita is the Interim Director of the California Endowment, and the award honors their 14+ years building a healthy and thriving Salton Sea region.

Brandon Hardy (2016) popped up on billboards throughout Atlanta and has been featured in a commercial for Grady Health. In April of 2024, Brandon was in a life-threatening car accident and suffered multiple injuries, including several broken ribs, bleeding in the brain, and a fractured spine. However, with the help of Grady Hospital in Atlanta, he fully recovered and went back to work in July!

Pat Blute (2008) was featured in a promotional video for Trinity Business School’s Executive MBA program in Dublin. Having recently completed the program, he joins fellow Coke Scholar and friend Carrie Regan (1989), who is currently in her final year. John Murphy, President and CFO of The Coca-Cola Company, is also an alum. Pat and Carrie highly recommend the program to Coke Scholars looking to advance their careers.
