We are looking for a skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a contract research project that has been funded through Discoveric Bio Beta Ltd. The aim of the project is to engineer Escherichia coli strains to express different versions of the lipopolysaccharide transport proteins LptD and LptE and determine which parts of these essential proteins are important for function in E. coli.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in molecular biology and microbiology. Techniques will focus on DNA construction design, cloning, recombinant protein production and the analysis of bacterial gene expression. An ability to learn new techniques quickly is highly desirable and full training will be given as needed.
The post is available for a fixed term of 8 months with an ideal start date in August 2024.
