Aston University is working to an ambitious 2030 strategy and have entered a new partnership with OES. We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant for a 6-month, fixed term contract to support the Accounts Receivable Team.
The post holder will work as part of the Accounts Receivable Team, responsible for the allocation of incoming funds and the collection of debts due to the University in respect of student debt, sponsorship, and commercial income and online courses in the appropriate accounting ledgers.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to chase overdue debts, provide support and advice to debtors on their settlement and perform daily bank reconciliations. The post holder will also be required to record transactions and clearing variances, assist the treasury function with month end bank account and balance sheet reconciliation and provide ad hoc investigation and analysis.
The post holder will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager and will positively contribute to the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service, ensuring queries are responded to in a professional and prompt manner.
