Job Purpose

The Conversion Lead (International Pathways & Partnerships) role is important to the success of the Aston 2030 global engagement strategy, supporting the university’s strategy to enhance student recruitment and engagement through our international pathways and partnerships. This role holder will execute targeted conversion initiatives to boost the number of students transitioning into Aston’s programs from our diverse global partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Campaign Management: Develop, design, and implement an annual operational plan for conversion initiatives. Lead bespoke social media campaigns and organise both virtual and physical conversion events.
  • Student Support & Engagement: Provide professional advice and guidance to students and stakeholders, enhancing the international student journey from enrolment to progression. Facilitate various engagement activities such as taster lectures, lab tours, and summer socials.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work collaboratively with internal teams including marketing, student recruitment, and admissions to align pathway and partnership conversion efforts with broader university objectives. Foster strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including regional ambassadors, to support conversion goals.
  • Feedback & Improvement: Collect and analyse feedback from partners and students to generate insights and improve future conversion strategies. Contribute to the review and development of pathways and partnerships.
  • Training & Development: Support the training and management of regional ambassadors and support the development of communication processes tailored to partnership students.
  • Event Coordination: Support the delivery of enrolment and induction events, create user-friendly guides for students, and ensure effective communication of events and activities through various channels.
  • Travel & Representation: Represent Aston University at international events as needed, promoting the university’s offerings and fostering new partnerships.
