An exciting opportunity within the Research and Knowledge Exchange in the Regional Engagement Team focusing on developing relationships with regional bodies, local MPs, Councillors, and other partners to support the implementation and embedding of Aston’s Civic University Agreement and to amplify the impact of projects. The role will complement and work closely with the Policy Advisor’s team in the Vice Chancellor’s Office.

We are looking for someone to take forward our civic university agreement and collect data to report on its impact and support bid writing for regional funding. You will have experience engaging with regional bodies, Councillors, MPs and citizens as well as a keen interest in making a difference to region’s citizens and businesses.

You will have some experience of organising events and be able to project manage. You will also be able to facilitate colleagues to take forward civic related projects.

Along with an understanding of Higher Education and the political environment, you will also be happy to work across teams within the university and with a range of external stakeholders.
