This is an exciting opportunity to join a strategically important team. Working in the Careers and Placements directorate, you will contribute to Aston’s vision for the delivery of outstanding graduate outcomes and equipping business and communities with the skills for the future.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our busy and friendly Employability Projects team to facilitate increasing numbers of students into flexible placement opportunities. Reporting to the Employability Projects Manager, you will have a passion for supporting diverse groups of students, responsibility for day-to-day supervision of Placement Coordinators, and will lead on the development and implementation of employability interventions and support.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and with excellent interpersonal skills, you will solve problems creatively and support students to overcome the barriers and challenges they face in securing flexible placement activities. You will have experience in supervising and/or coaching colleagues, with a particular emphasis on motivating to achieve high performance standards and building lasting relationships. It is essential that you demonstrate a flexible and collaborative approach with colleagues in the Careers and Placements team and wider University.
