The Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute leads the national Supergen Bioenergy Impact Hub and an opportunity has arisen for a researcher to support sustainable bioenergy deployment. The successful candidate will carry out analysis of the global evidence for indirect land-use change to formulate projections on the potential impact and management options for sustainable bioenergy development in the U.K.
You will work with a team of national researchers to gather and analyse data related to land-use change globally, identifying appropriate metrics and reporting relevant trends. You will provide definitive reports on land use trends and develop insights into recommendations and guidance for policy and sustainable supply chain management. You will work with industrial and policy partners to develop and disseminate findings and recommendations in a range of outputs.
You should have an appropriate scientific, engineering or mathematical background, with a PhD in a relevant topic. You will have strong analytic, modelling and data analysis skills and experience of writing up research outputs. You will have excellent communication and interpersonnel skills and strong teamwork ethos.
