Excellium who provides accounting services, is seeking a detail-oriented,reliable and an experienced Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team.
In this crucial role, you will partner with diverse customers across various industries, assisting them with their bookkeeping, financial reporting, and other accounting needs, ensuring financial accuracy and timely service.

Responsibilities:

Customers Management:

Build and maintain positive relationships with assigned customers, understanding their specific business needs and accounting practices.
Process customer invoices and manage accounts payable efficiently.
Handle customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.

Bookkeeping & Processing:

Accurately record and categorize daily financial transactions for assigned clients using industry-standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage,Microsoft Dynamic, Zoho Finance, etc).
Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable on a regular basis.
Prepare and update general ledgers and journals with meticulous accuracy.
Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Generate accurate and timely financial reports for clients, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide valuable insights to clients.
Assist with tax preparation and filing (optional, depending on the scope of the role).

Compliance & Tax:

Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting regulations and tax laws.
Ensure client accounting practices adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Communicate necessary tax information to clients and tax professionals (optional).

Additional Tasks:

Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and workflows.
Assist with onboarding new clients and transitioning them to our services.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Certification in ICAN/ACCA will be an added advantage
1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a client-facing role.
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Accounting, Zoho Books, Excel etc).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
