JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Communication Sciences and
Disorders in the School of Health Sciences, Ruth S. Ammon College of Education and Health Sciences at Adelphi University invites
applications for adjunct faculty in the graduate program in speech-language pathology. We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable
individuals to teach in-person courses in the following areas: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Childhood Speech Disorders, Diagnostics in
Speech-Language Pathology, Dysphagia, Fluency Disorders, Motor Speech Disorders, and Speech-Language Pathology in a School
Setting.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers a vibrant and diverse clinical and research environment in
which academic and clinical faculty are dedicated to providing students with the highest level of professional training in the classroom and
within its own Hy Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders, as well as in the New York metropolitan community. The Department offers

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and teach in-person graduate classes, including: using Moodle to build and
share course materials with students, creating syllabi inline with program and university standards, timely submission of feedback and
course grades, and meeting all academic course deadlines and policies. - Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence.
- Contribute assessment data and course information as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D or Ed.D in
speech-language pathology or related fields is required. - Applicants with previous teaching experience should have a demonstrated
record of teaching excellence. - Applicants with no teaching experience should have at least two years of professional experience
within the discipline.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act,
the salary for this position is $1,732 per credit.
