The North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is dedicated to building healthy individuals, families and communities. NVRC offers a wide range of recreation, social, health and cultural programs and services to residents of all ages and abilities.
We are currently accepting applications for an instructor to teach beginner to advanced Pottery programs.
YOU WILL:
You will prepare and teach pottery lessons to all ages including hand building, wheel work, glazing, and other pottery related topics.
YOU HAVE:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to teach pottery to children and youth and potentially some adult classes
- Ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment with different personalities
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching pottery
- Teaching experience with children and youth
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development certification, Emergency Childcare First Aid or equivalent, and pottery experience. Previous experience teaching pottery is required.
All employees should be prepared to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Record Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment. Clearance requires the absence of any criminal charges or convictions related to this position.
Hours of work include:
Delbrook – Sundays from 12:45pm – 4:45pm and Fridays from 3:45pm – 5:45pm
Parkgate – Thursdays from 3:45pm – 8:45pm

HOURLY RATE: The pay for this casual position starts at $27.04 and ranges to $37.44 per hour.
