Position Purpose:

The Communication Disorders Program at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, assistant/associate professor faculty position (speech-language pathology). Summer teaching may be available.

Education & Formal Training:
Doctorate degree (Specify field(s) of study below)

Other Education & Formal Training:

Candidate must possess a doctorate degree in communication disorders and/or sciences, or another advanced degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D).

Preferred expertise with adult neurogenic cognitive linguistics communication disorders and/or voice and swallowing disorders however, the position is open for all areas of emphasis for exceptional candidates.

Candidates must also possess experience instructing and mentoring student clinicians, experience teaching at the university level, and experience building and sustaining a clinical caseload.

Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills: organization/meeting facilitation/project leadership, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality
