Description

The Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology in the College of Health at Ball State University invites applicants for a full-time academic year clinical faculty position in the Speech Language Pathology program. The department is seeking a faculty member with experience supervising student clinicians in a practicum and/or clinical fellow experience.

Minimum Qualifications

(1) Hold or be in the process of obtaining Indiana state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA).
(2) Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or related discipline (3) Hold Certificate of Clinical Competency from American Speech-Language Hearing Association
(4) Meet ASHA’s supervision requirements for Clinical Educators by the start date of the position.
(5) At least two years of experience working in a professional environment serving individuals with communication disorders.
(6) At least two years of experience with supervision of students in practicum and/or clinical fellow experiences.
(7) Be eligible to be credentialed as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and commercial health insurance carriers.

Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal applicant will have an established record of clinical teaching and supervision.

IPLA speech language pathologist license, CCC-SLP in speech pathology

Ball State’s Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology (SPAA) has a long history of producing outstanding graduates, as well as serving the community through state-of-the-art speech pathology and audiology clinics. Our history is a story of a vibrancy and success. Since the mid 1960’s, students and faculty have collaborated effectively both within the classroom and in practice settings. Graduates of SPAA have become teachers, clinicians, researchers, managers, and a variety of other critical positions within the exciting field of health care. There are 11 Full-time SLP faculty, five FT faculty members in Audiology, and one full-time Administrative Coordinator. There are professional speech-language pathologists, adjunct faculty and graduate assistants who also support the department and its activities.
