The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Assistant Director, Communications. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing our mission through strategic communications, public relations, and digital engagement.
As the Assistant Director, Communications, you will work closely with the Assistant Vice President, Advancement Communications & Marketing, to develop, execute, and maintain effective messaging and communication strategies for UCF Advancement & Marketing. This role has a strong philanthropic focus, and you will be responsible for public awareness and promotional programs, web strategy, media relations, and showcasing the impact of philanthropy at UCF.

Plan, write, and execute annual reports that highlight the achievements, impact, and contributions of UCF Advancement and Partnerships/Foundation.
Social Media Strategy:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, with a strong focus on philanthropy or nonprofit organizations.

Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication strategies.

Excellent writing and storytelling skills.

Proficiency in web strategy and digital communication.

Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Experience with social media management and strategy.

The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $64,518 – $88,713, depending on experience and education.
