Job Description
Brown University Athletics is seeking candidates for the Content and Creative Communications Coordinator
position for the 2023-2024 season. This fixed term position (September – July) position will work with coaches and support staff to develop
and execute a digital media strategy to promote Brown Wrestling to fans, alumni, prospects, and the general public.
Job
Duties:
- Assist in developing a digital media strategy for Brown Wrestling
- Manage the Brown Wrestling social media accounts
(Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) - Create content videos, graphics, and photos for current and prospective student
athletes. - Attend meetings with Athletic Communications and Marketing staffs.
- Cover all home/away events and on campus
recruiting visits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, sports management, or a
related area. - Proficient in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, After Effects
- Availability to work home wrestling matches and
travel with the team to away matches and tournaments. - Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, athletics
staff and peers. - Strong self-started with an assertive attitude and attention to detail
- Experience working in an
intercollegiate Athletic Department – Preferred - Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Possess a willingness and ability to
support a diverse and inclusive environment. - The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete criminal
background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment. Background Check – Criminal and Motor
