Job Summary:

The Linda Crnic Institute for
Down Syndrome (Crnic Institute) and Department of Pharmacology are seeking an entry-level Communications Professional with the ability to
self-execute in diverse disciplines, including marketing, communications, and business administration. These disciplines will incorporate
various skills such as content development, writing, graphic design, audience engagement, tracking and analysis of outcomes, project
management, and compliance. While specific job responsibilities will vary depending on the current needs of both departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop websites, including regularly publishing updates to news and events
    and developing new content to reach, educate, and engage audiences.
  • Build and engage audiences on social media platforms. Create
    content for regular posts, interact with followers, and solicit content ideas from faculty and staff.
  • Track and analyze engagement
    and outcomes across websites and social media and generate ideas and plans to improve Crnic Institute and the Department of Pharmacology’s
    web and social media presence.
  • Assist with coordinating communications for activities, including scientific talks, symposiums,
    journal clubs, lab meetings, affiliate meetings, recruitment, or community events, etc.
  • Maintain and update distribution lists for
    email and other forms of communication, including internal and external teams and affiliate members. Work with administrators to develop a
    monthly information distribution plan.
  • Work closely with researchers and administrators in the Department of Pharmacology to
    create and disseminate a quarterly department newsletter.
  • Produce copy, stories, and/or video for a range of print and interactive
    projects including posters, advertisements, direct mail, corporate identity pieces, landing page design, email blasts and web graphics.
Work Location:

Hybrid – This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on
campus (Aurora, CO) and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A
    bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, business, or a directly related field
    from an accredited institution.

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for
      the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of
hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in Social
    Media Management.
  • Experience with design programs such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain
    effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $46,116
– $58,660
.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the
range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
