Job Summary

Under the general
supervision of the Center for Women and Community Director, and with the intent of meeting campus priorities, grant requirements, and
federal and state mandates, the Coordinator for Violence Prevention Outreach & Education assists in innovative educational initiatives as a
member of the Community Education team. Responsible for supporting the daily operations of violence response and prevention programming.

Essential Functions

  • Provides support for, and participates in delivering, interactive workshops,
    trainings, and other educational initiatives for a wide range of campus and community members.  Content areas include sexual and
    relationship violence; bullying, sexual harassment prevention, stalking prevention, child sexual abuse prevention, healthy relationships,
    consent, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Helps design and disseminate outreach campaigns, materials, and programs grounded in
    organizational values, and using multiple media platforms.   Actively seeks, demonstrates understanding of and incorporates feedback from
    broad range of constituents.
  • Assists with daily operations including but not limited to data collection, focus groups, writing
    reports, scheduling, evaluation and assessment, recruitment, etc. 
  • Researches and supports the development and evaluation of
    outreach and violence prevention strategies. 
  • Provides SASA related support services. 
  • Participates in organizational
    initiatives, programs, and services.

    or required. Understands responsibilities with respect to Title IX, Clery and other compliance requirements.

    of interest and behaves in ways consistent both with law and with University policy.

    respectful workplace. Uses access to sensitive and/or not yet public university related information only in the performance of the
    responsibilities of position and exercises care to prevent unnecessary disclosure to others.

Minimum Qualifications
(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with facilitation across in person and virtual platforms with an understanding of prevention of sexual assault, relationship
    violence and bystander intervention.  
  • Easily and independently adopts emerging technologies, and has demonstrated experience using
    products such as Zoom, Canva, Photoshop, Microsoft Suite including Teams, Google suite, Moodle, or Blackboard.  Familiarity with design, and
    social media platform best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage and improve work systems using technology. Manage
    multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines and prioritize workload. 
  • Contemporary knowledge of related current
    events, social movements, climate, and political trends.
  • Demonstrated and proven commitment to inclusion, equity, antiracist and
    trauma informed practice. 
  • Effectively works both in a team and independently actively seeking and implementing feedback.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation. 

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities,
Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Experience providing direct services to survivors of sexual
    violence, relationship violence, and/or stalking.  Experience with and contemporary knowledge of campus-based violence prevention. 
  • Functional knowledge of relevant laws and practices such as Campus Save, Title IX, and VAWA.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan,
    shoot and edit video and photo content for use on multiple platforms – utilizing Adobe Creative Suite programs, Experience using Adobe
    Captivate, and WordPress platforms.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Physical Demands/Working
Conditions

  • Typical office and classroom setting.
  • Travel to other work-related sites within campus, and
    throughout Hampshire County.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, crisis response environment.

Work
Schedule

Monday – Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm; required to work some evenings and weekends.
