Salary: UofG Grade 8, $68,777 – $72,000 per annum.  

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended (permanent). Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.

Based in the USA, the post holder will work directly under the International Recruitment Manager, N America, Europe & Central Asia (IRM) and the Head of International Recruitment (HIR), and the broader International Recruitment & Partnerships (IRAP) team, meeting University and College targets in relation to the University’s International Recruitment strategy and agreed key performance indicators (KPIs). You will manage and have oversight over day-to-day activities of the three Senior International Officers based in the USA, ensuring objectives and targets are being met through coordinated activity, and will lead on co-ordinating market intelligence and forecasting for the USA. 

As a Country Manager, USA you will line manage a team of Senior International Officers (SIOs) to contribute to the recruitment of increased numbers of international fee-paying full time and study abroad undergraduate and postgraduate students on taught and research programmes from the USA to the University of Glasgow. 

Furthermore, you will identify and facilitate the development and maintenance of priority partnerships / collaborations with Higher Education institutions, high schools, government agencies and sponsors, University alumni and other contacts out with and within the University to support the delivery of institutional internationalisation strategic objectives.
