Job Description
Business Manager for Global Markets Division APAC & Middle-East based in Japan will assist the Regional GMD COO and the GMD Japan Management team in their managerial roles and facilitate GMD’s interactions with the rest of the Bank, handling and coordinating projects and initiatives when appropriate, as well as the operational administration of GMD businesses in the Region, with a specific focus on Japan.
Oversight of the operational logistics and administration for all the business aspects within GMD in Japan.
Driving Global Markets Division projects, with a special emphasis of ensuring adequacy of our trading platforms and supports for the development of our trading and sales activities in the Middle-East:
– Representing GMD Middle-East and Asia Pacific in all relevant Committees whenever needed and agreed by GMD Regional COO or Middle East GMD Management
– Help developing business for GMD Asia Pacific & Middle East, and thus work closely with both the trading teams and the sales team, and act as a pivot in this regard
– Coordination with Control and Support Functions related to Trading & Sales activities, locally, regionally and globally; Co-ordinate and streamline the operations of and controls within Global Markets Division environment and ensure these are adequate and documented.
– Resolve, in the suggested timeframe, any recommendations made by internal or external auditors or regulators.
– Coordination of Budgets, accounts and expense analysis follow up
– Coordination of audit response and follow-up
– Coordination of compliance issues and follow-up
– Coordination of IT related projects
– Coordination of Business continuity planning
– Clearing projects, coordination for Trading and Sales
– Regulatory filings, coordination for Trading and Sales
– Coordination of Policies & Procedures
– Assisting the GMD FO to prepare documentation required for launching New Activity or Product (NAP), in collaboration with relevant local and regional Support Functions;
– Coordinating the approval process (NAP Committee) and subsequent monitoring of NAP conditions (preconditions, oversights, limitations), as well as effective implementation;
– Updating/prioritizing the pipeline of New Activities/Products and preparing regularly a report of the NAP activity in the region;
– Supporting the rollout and using the global tools of the banks for NAP monitoring (NAP Workflow / Worldwide Product Database).
Degree, preferably in a Mathematical / Scientific or Business area, or A-levels followed by appropriate market relevant working experience.
