Job Description
The Head of Corporate Coverage is leading the corporate coverage activities across Local corporates and MNC clients, covering the commercial activity of 5 branches in India .
He/she is the direct contact of the senior management of CACIB India or participates to the relationship with the senior management.
He/she is the primary contact with major corporate clients serving their overall financing and investment banking needs, outbound and inbound. He/she is involved in structuring all types of transactions / financing for these clients in conjunction with specialised staff and product lines, in Indian or overseas.
He/she has to identify and build close intimacy with the main strategic decision makers of the clients (CEO, Board members, CFO, Heads of Development Activities, etc.).
He/she will support, co-ordinate and contribute to the coverage sectors, while articulating all necessary with the relevant support functions for the business development.
Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance
Longstanding proven seasoned senior coverage banker
High knowledge of Bank’s products, policies, guidelines, corporate law, and business strategy
· Lead originator and take the leading role in developing business portfolio and enlarging the customer base of the Bank to develop lasting and profitable relationships, achieve revenue objectives, define action plans and strengthen the Bank’s position against our competitors:
o Develop the NBI after liquidity costs
o Ensure business mix quality through cross selling
o Optimise resources and maximize profitability (PI, EVA, EVA/NBI)
· Proactively cross sell all Bank’s products & services, i.e. Cash, Trade, Debt products, Capital Markets and Investment Banking, Project Finance, Export Commodity Finance, and other business lines.
· Overall implementation of the Corporate Coverage strategy for India, outbound & inbound businesses of clients/prospects
· Foster strong relationships between product management & sales with a view to maximizing the potential opportunities associated with integrated delivery with product lines and geographies.
· To perform comprehensive review & risk assessment of the risk profile of clients’ portfolio
· Report regularly to Management on major events: business opportunities, commercial incident, administrative and/or regulatory issues and trend analysis on NBI and profitability matters.
· To manage client global relationship through a proper allocation, on a worldwide basis of credit limits, reserves utilization, etc
Lead the team of corporate bankers, PCO and MNC bankers, PCO and MNCs, manage and direct activities in the team
· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the India Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence
