UNSW has now embarked upon a global search for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Enterprise). The role reports to the University’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Attila Brungs and holds broad responsibilities ranging from advancing research excellence, advocacy, knowledge transfer and commercialisation, to reporting, evaluation and research governance and integrity.
The role requires an outstanding candidate with a mindset that encourages innovation, supports new ideas, and adapts to changing research landscapes and technological advancements. The successful candidate will be a recognised leader on the global stage who possesses a combination of extensive leadership experience at levels of scale and complexity relevant to the UNSW environment, strategic vision, ability to build long lasting partnerships and passion for developing and supporting current and future leaders in research. They will bring the ability to influence a varied group of stakeholders, from global academics, students, and alumni to government officials and industry leaders as well as a forensic gaze able to analyse research performance and impact. They will be required to contribute broadly as part of a high performing and collegial university leadership team.
