The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a DIGITAL MEDIA SPECIALIST to promote the University by using multimedia tools including video, photography and editing software to craft visual elements for web, social media and broadcast distribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans and manages the capturing, editing and creation of video and audio content for dissemination to internal and external audiences.
2. Captures digital assets via video and still photography and uploads digital content to a variety of video platforms and/or social media sites.
3. Writes scripts, descriptions and captions for UAB visual content that appear on various social media sites.
4. Manages the archival of digital content and assists with archiving video content.
5. Assists with the staging of news conferences.
6. Assists senior photographers with equipment maintenance.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $46,530 – $75,615)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
