Summary of Job Duties:
The Director of Academic Technologies Innovation and Outreach is
responsible for facilitating and coordinating discussions, plans, and pathways to help drive innovation and effective academic technologies
utilization within the teaching and learning environment. In partnership with campus partners, the academic technologies team collaborates
and supports the use of technology to empower teaching and learning across all university schools and colleges. This will require building
deep relationships and working in close coordination with faculty, instructors, and academic administrators. The Director of Academic
Technologies Innovation and Outreach is responsible for representing the Information Technology department on various committees and working
groups, and advocates for an excellent academic technology experience.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an
essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with
others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
    institution of higher education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience with academic
    technologies
  • Advanced and/or terminal degree from accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience as an
    instructor

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • This position will accommodate teaching / instruction efforts at the
    University of Arkansas Fayetteville
  • Highly collaborative and responsive approach to customer service
  • Knowledge of
    instructional design methodologies, pedagogical issues, and best practices for classroom, online, and hybrid learning
  • Excellent oral
    and written communication skills
