Position Information

Hiring Department: Technology Support

Posting End Date: Open until filled.

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday
8:00am- 5:00pm

FLSA status: Exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.


Salary: $52,000 annually.

Purpose of Position

Essential Functions

Summary: Manages and coordinates activities related
to the production of digital media for eLearning and marketing of technology services at UTEP. Coordinates the development and execution of
marketing campaigns to support the Information Resources division.

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:

Produces and
oversees the department’s advertising and promotion activities for print, digital, video, and web content materials.

Review
digital media production outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, copywriting, and accessibility of all promotional digital materials.

Represent the department in the institution’s Marketing and Communication Council.

Researches, plans, and
implements new operating and production methods aimed at continuous improvement.

Ensures that all information on our websites
is correct, has been vetted through proper channels, and follows the guidelines established by the Marketing and Communications division.

Creates written content for web, campus announcements, events, and other communication channels as needed.


Develops scripts for video productio ns and is responsible for the Tech Bytes monthly video series

Designs and plans the
marketing and learning activities to increase the adoption of centralized supported tools such as Adobe Express Premium, and Question Pro
amongst others.

Represents the department in New Student Orientation sessions.

Supports Information Resources
training and events with marketing, space reservations, catering, and equipment needs.

Manages the asset inventory for the
department.

Submits campus announcements for communications and promotional needs

Assists Technology Support
personnel with the development of artifacts for marketing campaigns to promote training, services, and new technologies.


Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of assigned personnel; prepares work schedules and assigns duties to operations personnel to ensure
efficient operation; identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations.

Knowledge of all
Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University
policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises an
Enterprise Web Designer and student employees.

Qualifications

Qualifications To

Required Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university within the area of assigned responsibility.

and

Experience: Four years of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in communication and strong
writing skills . Adobe Premier or Adobe After Effects certifications.
