About the Opportunity

Full-time opening for a UX Designer for Ellucian Company, LLC at Reston, VA 20191. Hybrid position – May work from home but employee must report to work periodically and must reside within the MSA of worksite. Duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive user experiences through innovative visual design support. Define innovative user interfaces and interaction models using modern web technologies to enhance user productivity and operational efficiency. Communicate design strategy and rationale effectively with key stakeholders. Develop UI components and design patterns in collaboration with UXD team members for next- generation software applications. Implement User-Centered Design (UCD) techniques and adhere to Ellucian branding strategy. Utilize company-specific project management tools to efficiently work on projects within a team. Participate actively in design reviews, critiques, and usability testing. Provide input for product documentation related to styling, theming, and branding. A Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in any graphic, web, or related engineering design field is required plus 2 years experience in job offered or related position in designing complex enterprise-level desktop and/or mobile applications including 2 years of experience in user-centered design processes and methodologies, with interactive web technologies (Responsive HTML, CSS, JQuery, Mobile, and Tablet) and industry trends and in design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite and wireframing or flow diagram tools like Figma, Mural, Balsamiq, or Lucidcha.  In lieu of the Bachelor’s Plus 2 years of experience employer will also accept a Master’s or its foreign equivalent degree in any graphic, web, or related engineering design field with completion of at least any 2 design courses from list below and one course related to design research. -Human Centered Design, Studio 1, Product Design; Human Centered Design Studio 2, Interaction Design; Human Centered Design Studio 3, Service Design; Design Research; Design Communication & Methods; Visual Storytelling; Design Strategy.
